130 Environmental Park

WHAT’S AT STAKE FOR CALDWELL COUNTY!

Green Group’s engineers say it would take between 250,000 – 300,000 gallons of water a month to build and maintain the 130 Environmental Park landfill, but Green Group has never bothered to formally apply for [water] service.

And what about the potential for a landfill fire?  With over 8,300 landfill files occurring in the U.S. every year, landfill fires are a serious possibility.  Without water to build and maintain the landfill, as well as to extinguish dust or fires, this alone should be a deal breaker!

The proposed landfill site is located at one of the deadliest intersections in the State of Texas.  Adding hundreds of garbage trucks entering and exiting the landfill site everyday will drastically increase the danger.
